Can sending money be as easy as sending a text?
Project Description ~ BiyaBot
BiyaBot is a payment platform designed to simplify your life. You can make payments, top up airtime and data, or manage bulk recharges for your business, and you can do it all with just a chat. Biyabot has created a simple way to make payments. The goal of this project was to redesign the Biyabot website to clearly communicate this unique value, simplify complex fintech concepts, and position the product confidently within a competitive financial technology space.
Problem
As Biyabot evolved as a product, its old website no longer reflected what the platform offered.
The old design failed to :
Communicate the product’s purpose and value clearly to first-time visitors
Simplify complex financial functionality
Reflect the innovation and ambition behind the product itself
Modernize the interface so it appeals to a new generation of users
Differentiate Biyabot visually and conceptually from similar financial platforms
Design Solution
After a lot of research and frequent meeting with the client i made sure the redesign of the website was centred around:
~ Clear Messaging - I simplified the language used on the website so users could easily understand what biyabot was and what it stood for.
~ Intuitive Information Architecture- The different pages were reorganised to fit each users where I structured Biyabot into separate pages tailored for Users, Businesses, and Merchants, ensuring each audience could quickly find relevant information.
~ Exploration of Visual Directions- I explored two distinct design directions: Corporate and Modern Biya. Corporate Biya was a more serious and white-spaced approach focused on trust and professionalism, and Modern Biya, was a playful and colorful direction that leaned heavily on brand assets to appeal to a younger audience. The final design drew inspiration from the Modern Biya concept.
~ Functional Prototypes- Interactive prototypes were created to show the flow, and key interactions across the website.
Outcome
In the end, I designed a bold, futuristic, and modern experience that truly brought Biyabot to life. My research and findings, allowed me to design a website that not only looks stunning but also works well while making use of the brand elements and adding personality and depth to the design. I was able to satisfy not just the clients but also the target audience.
